First, if you want to fly online with the FSX, you need the program "FSHost Client", not FSHost. The other alternative is to use GameSpy, which is integrated in FSX (Multiplayer). But let's start with FSHost Client: Start FSX and put the aircraft where you want to start your flight. Call up FSHost Client and enter the name or IP of the server you want to fly with in the field "IP adress", then press "search IP for sessions". If the session was found, enter the password (if required) and press "Connect". That should do it.

For GameSpy, check the Help-Section in FSX, the procedure is described there in detail. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask....

Sorry, I was thinking of the FSX...

For FS9 it is much easier: You don't need any additional program. Just click on multiplayer and fill in the server IP (or adress), search for the session, enter the password if required and then connect and you are done. It is recommended that you selected the aircraft and airport for that flight in advance, but it would work also if you select these items after you established a multiplayer connection.

A reason for failure could always be your router (if you use one). Are you familiar with Teamspeak? In which part of the world are you living? In case of problems I could try to walk you through using Teamspeak. Just let me know...

I was able to get online but I had to get the IP Adress from FS Host. The IP listed in this forum didnt work. So now the flights are only on sunday so there was nobody else online.

I would recommend a headset, I have a Microsoft Chat xx headset that works fine. For the TS-numbers I'll send you a PN....

FYI, if you hover your mouse over either of the server names it will give you the IP address.

We use TS2. If you want to test TS3, send me a PN and we can meet on a TS3-server, that I know is online and works well.
You don't need a mic to connect, it connects without.

What do you mean by PN. Teamspeak 2 is no longer available.

PN is a function of this forum, it is a personal message (or private message) to me with a time when you are online and ready to try a TS3-connection with me. Then I will send you the details....
I just sent you a PM...
